1. Agreement to Terms
By browsing https://countrywideappliance.com, requesting a service appointment, or placing a telephone call to (725) 550-4700, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms, please discontinue using our service.
2. Dispatch & Referral Service Model Disclosure
Countrywide Appliance operates as an independent nationwide referral and diagnostic dispatch coordination network. We connect residential consumers with verified, licensed, and independent third-party appliance repair contractors operating within local municipal jurisdictions across 24 states.
Countrywide Appliance does not directly employ individual field technicians or operate physical repair storefronts. All physical diagnostic testing, technical repairs, labor commitments, invoices, and trade licensing are performed directly by independent local contractors.
3. Diagnostic Fee & Upfront Quotation Policy
- Standard Diagnostic Fee: A flat diagnostic evaluation fee applies to on-site testing. This fee covers technician travel and digital instrument testing to isolate equipment failure.
- 100% Diagnostic Credit: When you approve the technician's written repair quotation, the diagnostic evaluation fee is credited 100% toward the total repair cost. You pay only for the approved parts and labor.
- Written Itemized Estimate: Technicians must present an itemized estimate outlining genuine OEM parts and flat-rate labor before commencing any physical repair work.
- Right of Refusal: If you decline the repair recommendation, you are obligated only to pay the standard diagnostic evaluation fee.
4. 90-Day Parts & Labor Warranty Coverage
All completed repairs utilizing genuine factory OEM components installed through our network are protected by a standard 90-Day Parts and Workmanship Guarantee:
- If an installed replacement part fails due to a manufacturer defect within 90 days of installation, the defective part will be replaced at no additional component cost.
- Warranty coverage is limited strictly to the specific component and labor performed during the original repair invoice. Secondary failures unrelated to the repaired component are treated as separate diagnostic evaluations.
- Warranty coverage is void in cases of physical misuse, commercial usage of residential equipment, foreign object damage (e.g. coins in drain pumps), power surges, or flood damage.
5. Homeowner Responsibilities
To ensure safe and timely execution of technical diagnostics, homeowners agree to:
- Provide safe, unobstructed physical access to the equipment.
- Ensure an adult authorized to approve repair estimates (age 18 or older) is present on-site during the scheduled appointment window.
- Disclose known equipment history, prior failed repair attempts, and hazardous site conditions (such as gas leaks or water damage).
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Countrywide Appliance and its referral network shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from appliance failure, property damage, food spoilage, water leaks, or delays in parts procurement from manufacturers. Maximum aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid for the diagnostic service call.
7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall first be addressed through good-faith technical mediation by contacting our customer care department.
